Nick Dorsett
Director, Managed Network Services, Intelsat

Mr. Nick Dowsett is responsible for developing and managing Intelsat’s IntelsatONESM Network Services portfolio of managed solutions.  Since the launch of the portfolio in 2002, he has overseen its growth to support over 200 customers, 15,000 customer sites and over 6 Gbps of throughput.

Mr. Dowsett has been employed in the global telecommunications industry for nearly 25 years.  Prior to joining Intelsat in Spring 2002, he worked for 6 years at Concert Communications Inc., a British Telecommunications and AT&T joint venture company.  Employed as a Senior Manager, his responsibilities included managing all commercial aspects of a global circuit-switched voice product and the development & launch of a global IP-based enterprise voice product offering.

Prior to joining Concert, Mr. Dowsett was an employee of British Telecommunications in London for 22 years.  Initially employed in local telecommunications infrastructure planning, Mr. Dowsett became a consultant to the company’s principal corporate customers, advising on enterprise network design.  In 1986, he joined British Telecom International working on a series of business development initiatives developing global voice, data and bandwidth product offerings.  In 1995, he became responsible for marketing BT’s global voice service products in all of the company’s world-wide sales territories.

James Collett
Director, Mobility Services Product Management, Intelsat

James Collett is Director, Mobility Services Product Management at Intelsat and in this role has responsibility for profitably positioning, developing and growing Intelsat’s Mobility Services product line, ensuring that Intelsat continues to be a leading provider of managed services and space-only solutions to the maritime, aeronautical and government sectors. Leading a group of product and sector management specialists, his team aims to reinforce and grow Intelsat’s strong position in the broadband mobility market.

Previously Mr. Collett had a thirteen year career at Inmarsat where he held a number of senior management positions including responsibility for maritime, land, aeronautical and government market development, and for the global sales delivered through Inmarsat’s global network of distribution partners (DPs).

Prior to joining Inmarsat Mr. Collett was General Manager of Codan UK, and in this role was responsible for the EMEA sales of HF radio solutions and VSAT hardware to a wide range of commercial and government organizations operating in rural and remote locations. Mr. Collett holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Manchester and at the outset of his career spent eight years in various sales roles in the polymers industry.
